Runway Database

We produce the highest data quality.

Benefit from the NAVBLUE Runway Database (RDB) and get the most accurate runway information available.
RDB is a key Database dedicated to Runway Safety.

How does it work?

NAVBLUE Runway Database is a validated database, formatted in ARINC424 format to be loaded in avionics systems. RDB includes all relevant and critical runway features (name, threshold, length/width, surface type, status, etc.).

NAVBLUE RDB supports ROPS+ (Runway Overrun Prevention System): ROPS+ automatically detects the landing runway from the Terrain Awareness Warning System (TAWS). ROPS+ is designed to prevent runway overrun at landings.

Benefits

  1. The highest data quality

    • The data comes from Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP), NOTAMs or other state publications.
    • It is then validated with high resolution satellite imagery for precise, complete and up-to-date airport attributes, allowing data accuracy of at least 5 m.
    • NAVBLUE RDB holds the EASA DAT Type 1 certification. Our database process complies with DO-200B international standards and with Airbus Data Quality Requirements documentations.
  2. Worldwide and regional coverage

NAVBLUE RDB includes around 2,000 airports, covering the Single Aisle network.
