Benefit from the NAVBLUE Airport Mapping Database (AMDB) and get the most accurate aerodrome information available.
AMDB is a collection of relevant aerodrome information, providing an optimized view of all airport elements:
• Full up-to-date spatial visualization of runways, exits, taxiways, parking, aprons, service roads, de-icing areas, and buildings
• Fully georeferenced data enabling aircraft real-time positioning
• Data attributes available for each feature
• AMDB is a key Airport Database to improve situational awareness and to enable Runway Safety functions

HOW DOES IT WORK?

NAVBLUE AMDB has been first designed for the A350 and A380 Avionics functions, in close cooperation with the Airbus Design Office, enabling Airbus Avionics on-board Safety functions:

  • Approaching Runway Advisory (ARA)
  • Brake To Vacate (BTV
  • Take-off Securing (TOS2)
  • Runway Overrun Prevention System (ROPS)

AMDB has a standard format to enable the Airport Moving Map function on any equipped aircraft. It provides a realistic on-board view of the airport area for the pilots, in order to improve their situational awareness and ease ground taxi operations. Same content is available for the equivalent function on an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB).

The highest data quality
  • The data comes from Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP), NOTAMs or other state publications.
  • It is then completed with high resolution satellite imagery for precise, complete and up-to-date airport attributes, allowing data accuracy of at least 5 m.
  • This process allows critical airport data validation with regards to safety.
  • NAVBLUE AMDB holds the EASA DAT Type 1 and 2 certifications. Our database process complies with DO-200B international standards and with Airbus Data Quality Requirements documentations.

Worldwide and regional coverage
  • NAVBLUE AMDB includes all the main airports in the world, with more than 600 airports.
  • AMDB coverage is constantly increasing to meet customer operational network needs.

Customization
  • We customize the database, providing our customers exactly what they need with the flexibility in the network coverage, adding and removing airports as requested
  • Different formats are available such as ARINC 816-0 formatting through a secured data package in ARINC 665 format. Shapefile and JSON formats are also available.
