Who are we?

Lead aviation into the digital age

NAVBLUE is a services company, wholly owned by Airbus, dedicated to Flight Operations & Air Traffic Management Solutions.

Through digital & collaborative innovation, our passionate & customer-focused team develops solutions to enhance the safety and efficiency of air transport. Over the last years, Airbus has been supportive of various initiatives such as Going Digital, Performance Based Navigation services, Air Traffic Management modernization programs (SESAR & NextGen), Flysmart on iOS and other digital projects related to new aircraft technologies; the launch of NAVBLUE was therefore a natural step to further develop its Flight Operations and Air Traffic Management portfolio.

Fueled by the agility of Airbus ProSky and Navtech (acquired in 2016), and the pioneering spirit of Airbus, NAVBLUE was created in July 2016 with one mission: lead aviation into the digital age.

Reaching for greener skies

NAVBLUE, in line with Airbus Group policy, considers the environmental factor as a key contributor to success and is working to build a sustainable future.

Products are designed with the environment in mind, and NAVBLUE’s core business is fully committed to a greener future in air transport. Solutions and software that improve flight operation fluidity and efficiency highly contribute to reducing fuel consumption and noise; encouraging air transport operators to go digital helps to reduce paper usage and save trees.

NAVBLUE itself is committed to minimising its carbon footprint both in terms of work organisation and across all of its processes.

High-profile partners for higher-value products

As a global provider of flight operations solutions, NAVBLUE has formed partnerships with aircraft manufacturers such as BAE and Fokker, adding to its existing partnership with Airbus. NAVBLUE’s goal is to reach out to the entire market and develop software, charts and data customised to companies operating any type of aircraft.

Strong ties with AIRBUS Defence and Space Intelligence leverage a unique expertise in our products and services thanks to high quality satellite datasets.

A wholly owned Airbus subsidiary

NAVBLUE belongs to the Airbus family. As such, the company benefits from Airbus expertise and resources, enjoying access to the in-depth expertise of an aircraft manufacturer. This allows NAVBLUE to provide reliable, accurate and efficient air transport solutions.

NAVBLUE will continue to draw inspiration from Airbus’ pioneering spirit and its rich heritage of innovation and disruptive projects. Navtech’s agility and proven experience in product innovation, along with the global reach of Airbus, will ensure NAVBLUE stays ahead of the curve when it comes to rapid change in technology, regulation compliance and industry trends.
