VietJet utilizes NAVBLUE’s performance studies to analyze Oxygen Escape Routes

Vietjet Airlines, the LCC (Low Cost Carrier) based in Vietnam, used a performance study done by NAVBLUE to analyze Escape Routes to and from China with the goal of optimizing their route.

Vietjet, that currently uses Flysmart+, provided NAVBLUE with relevant information to understand their needs such as their aircraft type and engine configuration. NAVBLUE’s Manager of Aircraft Performance Services utilized N-Flight Planning to test VietJet’s established routing to determine where Oxygen Escape Routes were required based upon the company oxygen equipment and policy. Routes to alternate airports were provided from key waypoints and a full report was presented to Vietjet for their review.

Mr. Truong Bao Trung, Flight Operations Engineering Manager at VietJet, said: “This study was exactly what we were looking for. It helped us to meet the operation requirements on escape routes due to high terrain. The analysis was easy to understand and the map made it very clear, which helps pilots flying these routes. VietJet will continue to engage NAVBLUE in future escape routes requirements”.
