Who are we?
NAVBLUE is a leading services company, wholly owned by Airbus, dedicated to Flight Operations solutions and services for airlines and aircraft operators, on the ground and onboard. NAVBLUE combines aircraft manufacturer expertise, flight operations know-how and agile development to enhance operational efficiency, optimize resources and increase productivity, for a safe and sustainable aviation. NAVBLUE delivers a reliable, optimum and customized user experience to more than 600 customers worldwide, in a range of areas, including digital cockpit operations, Operations Control Centre (OCC) systems, Flight Ops Engineering and Performance Based Navigation (PBN). NAVBLUE employs 500 employees spread across the world, with offices in Canada, France, Poland, Singapore, Sweden, Thailand, UK and US and representatives in several other countries across the globe.

History
1987
After Ray and Dorothy English create Navtech, Dorothy goes on to develop the first computerised flight plan software on a TRS-80 personal computer.
1993
Navtech buys Compuflight and increases flight planning market share.
1998
Navtech acquires the Weather Service division of Global Weather Dynamics, Inc. and widens its portfolio.
2001
Navtech acquires Airware Solutions, Inc. and enters the Crew Planning market, providing the industry’s leading Preferential Bidding Solution.
2005
Navtech acquires European Aeronautical Group, a group founded by Scandinavian Airlines, British Airways and a number of avionics manufacturers.
2008
Navtech becomes one of the top three world leaders in the field, delivering Flight Planning, Charts, EFB, Crew Planning, and Aircraft Performance Solutions.
2009
Airbus creates Quovadis, a dedicated subsidiary to develop Performance based Navigation services.
2011
Airbus creates Airbus ProSky to improve the overall performance of Air Traffic Management.
2012
Quovadis is merged into Airbus ProSky.
2014
Airbus launches “LUCEM” as part of its Bizlab initiative: its objective is to start producing high quality data for new cockpit needs such as the airport mapping database.
2016
Airbus acquires Navtech and decides to merge it with Airbus LUCEM and Airbus ProSky to create NAVBLUE.
2020
NAVBLUE acquires Aviolinx and the RAIDO application to complete the N-Operations Control Centre Suite, and enhances its Flight Operations and Air Traffic Management Portfolio.

EASA DAT Certification (EU) 2017/373: Recognized by both the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in North America, this certification holding certificate number EASA.AOA.DAT.017 covers our Type 1 Navigation Databases and Type 1 and Type 2 Airport Databases (including runway databases)
CASA CASR 175C Certification: Recognized by Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), this certification holding certificate number CASA.175DSP.0007 covers NAVBLUE as an authorized Data Service Provider.

At NAVBLUE, and more generally in Airbus, we are particularly committed to advancing women in the workplace and developing female talent.
