Q&A

Thanks for joining us, Bhoomi!

I am an Aeronautical engineer from India and started working just after graduation as a charts analyst. I joined NAVBLUE as a Production Manager in November 2021, and moved from India to the UK.

As a production manager I am responsible for day to day production activities and timely delivery of updated databases to our customers. Currently I have teams in the UK, Poland and India.

How did you decide to pursue a career in Production Management?

I have always been passionate about aviation. During the initial phase of my career, I focused on learning different aspects of product and people management and when the opportunity came to work for NAVBLUE -where I can use my technical expertise as well as people management skills- I decided to give it a try, and here I am.

You are one of the members of the Inclusion&Diversity Committee at NAVBLUE, why did you decide to join the group?

I like to work with/for people, and for me the boundaries of different color, gender, language, age or anything never existed. I see other people as a human and do not put them in defined boxes. I strongly believe that if we as a society can conceive this mindset, we will make this place so much better for so many people.

I am here to spread that awareness.

What does I&D mean to you?

To me we all are ONE and there should not be anyone making others feel they don’t belong here by looking down on them and  I&D is a different way of looking at the same thing.

As in today’s world that difference is already created and knowingly or unknowingly it is accepted by society which needs to be removed and we need to go back to one thought “we are all one”!

What does the I&D Committee do for NAVBLUE  and why do you think it’s important?

Through their different initiatives, the I&D committee is spreading awareness to make a difference in NAVBLUE’s working environment, by cultivating the thought that everyone is welcomed and treated equally here. We respect every individual and where they come from.

This is important because one of the values we have at NAVBLUE is “Inclusion” and through this committee, we want to make sure everyone feels they belong here and they are respected for who they are.

How do you promote inclusiveness and diversity at NAVBLUE?

The first and foremost important point is spreading awareness through communications.

As a manager, I always promote this during meetings, as I make sure everyone is given equal opportunities.

How do you see the future of NAVBLUE in terms of inclusion and diversity?

As a company we are aware of the importance of diversity and inclusion, and with all the initiatives the company is taking in this direction, NAVBLUE will become a very strong promoter and supporter of diversity and inclusion in future.

Anything else you wanted to mention before we wrap up?

Let’s celebrate and respect the differences we have and make this place happy and safe for everyone.
