As an optimization focused developer, not only will you work on complex algorithm products; but will help define the skills and tech stack for Software Development around:
- Operations Research, Optimization Techniques and Linear Programming
- Logistics Management
- Efficient Data Management & Data Patterns Identification

Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of designated services and components
- Participate in and lead design meetings.
- Provide analysis and estimates for work required within the area of responsibility.
- Review code committed by others into the assigned area of ownership.
- Actively involved in new development and defect fixing within the assigned code area.
- Provide technical direction for services and products within an area of expertise.
- Participate in learning via code reviews, team learning activities and design reviews.
- Ensure code quality by following standards, best practices and implementing test suites
- Propose design and coding standards and support the implementation of features according to such designs and specifications.
- Participate in the creation and estimating of stories and features.
- Maintain/create documentation for applications, tools, or systems as required.
- Communicate ideas and plans verbally or in writing.
- Coach / mentor junior members of the team.
- Support agile development concepts and participate in our SAFe process.
- Strive to improve, at both a team and personal level.
- Actively participate in all team activities with a positive encouraging attitude.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Proven talent for algorithms and optimization problem solving
- Must work effectively with others in a team environment.
- Excellent object-oriented programming skills. (C#, C++ or other)
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of and practical experience with applying mathematical optimization techniques, such as constraint programming, linear, integer, or mixed integer programming.
- Experience in working with an optimization solver such as Google OR-tools, Gurobi, Cplex, or similar.
Nice to Haves:
- Hands-on experience working with AWS infrastructure. Certification in this field is a bonus.
- Experience with Data Analytics, Machine Learning or AI tools and platforms.
- Knowledge of Agile Methodologies, SAFe is a plus.
- Knowledge of the Aviation Industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a related field (e.g. Operations research, (applied) mathematics, computer science, or similar)
- Operation Research, AI and other post-graduate studies is a plus
