A NAVBLUE Aeronautical Analyst - Charts is responsible for supporting the initial analysis, planning and preparation of aeronautical charts (working to a 14-day revision cycle) and other documentation used by commercial airlines.

This analysis will cover all types of State-published aeronautical information (general information, enroute information, aerodrome information) within all documents types (aeronautical information publications and supplements).

Charts analysts will also provide high level technical response support on the customer portal and guidance to the chart production teams as required.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and compare aeronautical publications issued by the state authorities.
  • Create and publish change notification (bulletin) or chart updates based on customer requirements and state regulations.
  • Develop knowledge and support application of the NAVBLUE Chart Specification to all NAVBLUE chart products.
  • Raise and monitor communications to state authorities in response to any discrepancy identified through document analysis.
  • Identify quality, non-conformance issue(s) and potential risks, escalate appropriately and propose corrective and preventative actions (with guidance)

  • Lead small projects and host internal meetings/workshops with support or guidance
  • Collaborate and share ideas, both within Charts+ Ops and with other teams, to achieve team and department goals
  • Assist team members to manage team assignments and ensure completeness
  • Be quality minded with attention to detail

 

Qualified Experience/Skills/Training:

Education:

Educated to ‘A’ Level or equivalent
Degree in aviation or GIS related field is an asset

Experience:
ArcGIS working knowledge would be an asset.

For Senior level:

  • Sound knowledge of aeronautical publications (2-3 years of experience working with Charts or aeronautical documentation)
  • Proven knowledge and skills in solving problems with Aerodata and Charts.

 

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

  • Good verbal and written communication in English
