Summary:

A NAVBLUE Aeronautical Analyst Flight Planning takes further responsibilities in line with the Grade 10 Aeronautical Analyst - Flight Planning role to provide point of contact to FP-Data Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyse relevant aeronautical State Publications that require changes to be made to the Navblue navigation database
  • Update Navblue products in line with specification and quality standards
  • Answer customer queries relating to data supplied to them
  • Communicate effectively within, and collaborate with the team in order to meet the departmental objectives
  • Clarify any source data problems from various countries’ Aeronautical Information Departments.
  • Liaise with the relevant departments for any queries including any State source data problems using the appropriate communication method.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in the aviation industry (OCC preferred)
  • Previous experience in Commercial Flight Operations as a: Dispatcher, Operations Controller, Pilot
    is an asset
  • Aircraft Dispatch license or Commercial Pilot’s license is an asset
  • Ability to decode: METAR, TAF, and NOTAMs
  • Working knowledge of AIP, enroute charts, and procedure plates
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English

 

Education:

  • University degree, preferably in aviation, geography or IT
  • Agile and SAFe methodologies working knowledge

 

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Python and its core data analysis libraries (Pandas, NumPy, etc.) to analyze datasets is an asset
  • Google suite
  • Ability to learn bespoke software
