We are looking for a Junior Frontend Software Developer to work with our existing teams where you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills working with UI applications in a microservices-based environment. 

As a member of our team, you will contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including estimation, design, coding, test automation, code reviews, deployment, and support. Teams are responsible for specific services or products. Our solutions help airlines manage safe and high-performance flight operations.

The Frontend chapter is focused on, but not limited to, the skills and tech stack for Software Development around:

  • Web and Mobile Frontends
  • Vue.js, JavaScript
  • QT/QML
  • HTML, CSS/SASS
  • SPA, Micro frontends
  • UX, Responsive Design, Accessibility
  • Design Systems
  • Unit testing, Functional testing

 

Responsibilities:

  • Actively support team with work on development tasks and support timely delivery 
  • Follow and keep up code review standards 
  • Participate in chapter initiatives to help achieve NAVBLUE's business goals
  • Communicate potential obstacles in squads plans and support contingency plans
  • Implement unit, component and integration testing for new and existing code to ensure software quality  
  • Coding, testing, documenting and debugging assigned development tasks to meet acceptance criteria
  • Contribute to the design of product features
  • Contribute to chapter's productivity
  • Implement product features
  • Work within agile development concepts and participate in our SAFe process
  • Support adoption towards change and continual improvement
  • Works to find the root cause of problems
  • Supports the work of less experienced team members

 

Required Skills/Experience: 

  • 2+ years of working experience
  • Recent experience developing software with Vue or similar modern framework, javascript or typescript
  • Experience with frontend development
  • Experience writing unit tests, component testing or integration testing
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to understand suggested/shared concepts
  • Ability to use technical communication skills
  • One or more of the following technology stacks:
    • Vue.js, javascript, typescript
    • Selenium, Python or similar
  • Strong development fundamentals
  • Good spoken and written English skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent

 

Nice-to-Haves

  • Understanding of airline operations, flight planning, or air navigation principles 
  • Passion for the aviation industry
  • AWS (asset)
