N-Flight Planning Systems Database Analyst

Job Summary:

NAVBLUE, an Airbus Company, is currently seeking a N-Flight Planning Systems Database Analyst to join our growing team. This position is responsible for updating the navigational database used by NAVBLUE’s flight planning system.  This includes data applying to airports, navaids, airways, TMA procedures, NOTAMs and route restrictions. 



  • Maintain navigation database on a daily basis to ensure aeronautical-related changes are up-to-date
  • Maintain data in the following areas:
    • Airport, Runway, SID/STAR, and Approach;
    • Airways, navaid and enroute waypoints, FIRs;
  • Maintain the Department’s TMA procedures library in hardcopy form as derived from the AIP
  • Prepare for upcoming AIRAC activities
  • Complete database-related projects as-required


Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the aviation industry (OCC preferred)
  • Working knowledge of AIP, enroute charts, and procedure plates
  • Able to decode and understand NOTAM content
  • Must successfully pass written competency exam in the realm of aeronautical navigational data
  • Must work effectively with others in a team environment as well as work independently with little supervision, depending on the task at hand
  • Effective interpersonal skills; adaptable to all levels of the organization
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work overtime to meet industry and production deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • Multi-lingual is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Windows software
  • Experience using N-Flight Planning software is preferred



  • Associates degree/diploma in aviation or geography or equivalent training;
  • Previous experience in Commercial Flight Operations as a Dispatcher, Operations Controller, or pilot is an asset.
