NAVBLUE, an Airbus Company, is looking for a Sales Director for the North America region, who will be responsible for driving new sales and seeding the North American sales pipeline for continuous new sales.  The Sales Director will lead and contribute to all selling related activity including prospecting, qualifying, account planning, consultative selling, contract negotiation, and relationship management, while abiding by the NAVBLUE standard operating procedures.

It is also expected that your current contacts within the industry will catalyze your induction into the role. Reporting to the Head of Region – North America, you will also assist with the development of a strategy and action plan within the designated area.



  • Development of strategy and action plan to grow awareness and sales within North America, effectively manage a balanced pipeline to achieve new sales targets.
  • Create new opportunities based on an in-depth understanding of market potential, specific customer requirements and company capabilities
  • Leverage Airbus resources to feed pipeline and optimize sales campaigns in terms of executive level relationships, velocity of deals moving through pipe and ultimately profitability of each deal.
  • Understand the priorities of customer needs and requests; cultivate the business relationship with the customer, and; manage issues that may arise with regards to the sales pursuit process
  • Prepare and present sales presentations; and negotiate terms, conditions, pricing and commitments that enhance profitability and the business relationship
  • Build relationships with decision makers and maintain an awareness of issues affecting customers with regards to the sales pursuit
  • Be proficient in the use of NAVBLUE’s CRM tools for both account management and as a foundation for management reporting
  • Manage the sales process to maximize key metrics including, but not limited to, TCV, profitability, time to close, etc.
  • Attend trade shows and user conferences as required
  • Assist Product Management as required with reviewing specifications, determining priorities and liaising with potential customers.


  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Business or Marketing)
  • MBA preferred

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Significant Flight Ops sales experience, including complex sales/marketing experience within the North American territory
  • Demonstrated knowledge of airline flight operations, or practical experience in flight operations
  • Demonstrated understanding of airline/aviation IT and application software
  • In-depth knowledge of airline industry
  • Established rolodex and relationships of Flight Ops management within airline community
  • Demonstrated excellent customer relationship management skills
  • Project management and strategic account planning skills
  • Experienced working with CRM software, Salesforce preferred
  • 50-70% Domestic and International Travel is required for this position
  • Able to function and work independently and confidently
  • Effective team player in the organization, able to influence internal stakeholders to drive progress on tasks related to sales opportunities
  • Excellent communicator, articulate and persuasive; with strong oral and written communication skills
